True Places Counseling, PLLC, led by Dr. Alison Wetmur, DSW, LCSW, has offered specialized mental health services since 2017. Dr. Wetmur focuses on complex trauma and on serving d/Deaf, DeafDisabled, and hard-of-hearing people. She is fluent in American Sign Language and offers therapy, including EMDR, in ASL by video. Dr. Wetmur is also a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Kentucky College of Social Work.
