Who We Are

Alison B. Wetmur, LCSW

Specialties:  Deaf/Hard of Hearing, Adults, Adolescents, Trauma, Mood Disorders, Anxiety

Education: Alison obtained her Master’s degree in Social Work from Rutgers University in 2009.  She graduated magna cum laude, with a focus on Direct Practice/Mental Health.

Experience:
Alison has worked in many different kinds of social service agencies, from residential to therapeutic day programs. The people she met and worked with in these different positions prompted her to enroll in graduate school for social work, seeking to make an even greater impact in the lives of others.

Following graduation from Rutgers, she moved from New Jersey to Connecticut.  Alison earned her Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) certification in 2013.  Alison is also an adjunct faculty member at Manchester Community College, where she teaches American Sign Language.

Lori Standish, LMFT

Specialties:  Adolescents, Adults, Elders, Individuals, Couples, Families, Anxiety, Mood Disorders, Abuse and Trauma, Divorce/Separation, Sexuality, Aging, Grief and Loss

Education: Lori has lived in central Connecticut for the past 30 years and completed a Bachelor’s Degree at Connecticut College in New London in 1992. She received her Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of St. Joseph in West Hartford in 2012.

Experience: Lori has worked in varied settings including school-based, youth service, community-based, and private practice with individuals ranging from age four to adult. She brings to True Places a deep commitment to helping individuals, couples, and families find their innate strengths and success stories, moving from limitations toward hope, confidence, and possibility.
